Trusted Health Guide makes health information easier to understand through clear, compassionate and evidence-informed guidance. The aim is to help readers learn about their wellbeing without unnecessary jargon, fear or judgement.
Why Trusted Health Guide exists
Health advice is everywhere, but it is not always easy to know what to trust or how it applies to everyday life. Trusted Health Guide brings together accessible explanations, practical ideas and a whole-person perspective on health.
Rather than promising quick fixes, the website encourages informed decisions, realistic habits and knowing when professional support is needed.
Meet Chidinma Agu
Trusted Health Guide was founded by Chidinma Agu, a registered nurse, health educator and content creator also known online as Dinma| The Insight Nurse.
Chidinma began her nursing career in 2012. Her professional experience includes ophthalmic nursing and operating theatre practice, alongside broader nursing and care experience. She has also completed a master’s degree specialising in mental health nursing.
Her work reflects an understanding that health is shaped not only by symptoms and clinical measurements, but also by emotional wellbeing, daily routines, relationships and individual circumstances. She brings a nursing perspective to health education while recognising that every reader’s situation is different.

How we approach health information
Trusted Health Guide aims to make its content useful, responsible and easy to follow. Its editorial approach is guided by four principles:
- Clarity: Explain health topics in plain language and define unfamiliar terms.
- Care: Recognise that people’s circumstances, resources and experiences differ.
- Evidence: Draw on credible health information, including established clinical and public health organisations, and link to relevant sources where appropriate.
- Responsibility: Avoid exaggerated promises, distinguish general guidance from individual medical advice and encourage appropriate professional care.
Health knowledge changes over time. Articles may be reviewed and updated as guidance develops. Where a topic requires personalised assessment, a qualified healthcare professional is the appropriate source of advice.
Beyond health education
Chidinma is also developing skills in healthcare data analytics and technology. This growing area of interest complements her nursing background and her commitment to helping people and health services make better-informed decisions.
A note about medical advice
